What is Short Black | Short Espresso?

A Short Black Coffee or Short Espresso is made by pouring a single shot of espresso with strong aroma and taste. A good fresh Short Espresso will have a thick golden coffee crema on top. It is served in a demitasse cup (60ml). The Short Espresso is the foundation of all espresso coffees. The term “short” refers to the fact that this is simply an espresso shot, no extra water is added apart from what is used to brew the coffee.
